The Mind Map
Mindmaps helped us to brainstorm our ideas and curate this project. It gave us the direction to incorporate citizen's actions with waste management and also allowed us to paint a better picture of our features.
Project Draft
During our research, we discovered a Facebook group called "pokedéchet go" that organized meetings between members to go and clean up the street. We found that idea very interesting and wanted push this concept further.
In order to attract and maintain the motivation of all the users, a gamification system is implemented : the more waste you collect, the more points you earn, the higher become your level.
We specialy want to target young urban adults who are 18-25 , like video games and have an environemental awarness.
Benchmark -
Où recycler, it proposes to locate the garbage around us, depending on the type of waste. We want add the same system in our app.
Sisto, it allows to signal piles of waste, full garbage cans, etc. Then people could go to this places and clean it up with Pokewaste.
The website below depicts the context, target audience, service offered, benchmarks and references. It covers the features and functionality regarding the working of the application and helps in structuring the context.


Wireframe
Wireframe builds the basic structure of the app which helps in envisioning the final model. It navigates through different pages and paints a rough idea for the fianl mockup. It is a simple monochrome layout with the placement of all navigation buttons and varios features.
Mockups
Mockups are the final app structure, ready to be tested by users. The mockups contain all the features of our app placed at their exact positions with colors being added. It built an user interface which is easy to navigate.


User Tests
User tests guided us to improve our mock ups according to an user perspective. Users gave us the feedback to add navigation bar at the bottom for better movement.
We added classified sections on the information page which allows people to quickly find target information.
We also added more types of waste so that a wider range of waste coud be detecte.
